The Piranha was one of our most popular designs. It was primarily built for small surf, but it ended up being a very versatile board. We have re-tooled this design with a clean, full, round pin, and are calling it the Smoothie. It has a timeless outline designed to accommodate a wide range of conditions. The bottom starts with a slight roll in the nose transitioning to a light single through the center. This shallow single blends into a sunken double concave in front of the fins and an elevated double concave between the fins that finally ends in a double barrel vee of the tail. If you can’t appreciate the tech talk, just know that the board surfs fast & smooth.

I got a custom 5'7 x 29.4L in Jan 2021 and figured this review was overdue. Been riding this board year round, mostly on smaller days but it works, and works well, in anything from waist to head high. Catches waves easily, is fast, has good hold, and can turn tighter than expected. Ride it mostly as a thruster and sometimes as a twin with trailer. This was one of Rusty's last boards made in Torsion Spring and I only wish I had ordered more boards in this construction. If I really look I can see some very minor dents on the deck but really its unnoticeable. I even dropped the rail on a rock coming up at the cliffs - no damage. It's not feather light but I think that is a plus. I can ride it in windy / bumpy conditions and it still rides great.
The entire experience with you guys has been outstanding! From my first email, to getting my board, I could not have asked for more. Everybody there was great and my new board is insane!!!! I mean, I thought it was going to be great but it far exceeds that!!! I cannot thank you guys enough.
Got a 5'9 in torsion spring shaped by the lads in Mona Vale to replace my Lost V3 . I was keen to try a new tech and liked the shape for everyday waves here on the East Coast of Australia. I'm 5'10, 83KGs, and somewhere in the middle of the typical line up in terms of competence. The 32.2L works perfectly. I was worried that this would not be enough volume, but the shape seems to compensate. The board is less drivey than the V3 and the round tail makes for smoother turns, so it feels like you don't have to work as hard on the face. It paddles onto practically anything, hollow or crumbly and flies along as a quad. My experience so far is that the board's ability exceeds my own.
