Just a quick few lines to thank you for the board and service. The board looked amazing out of the box. I have had the opportunity to surf it from ankle high to 2 ft overhead. Everything I read or heard about how versatile and great the model is falls short. The board has my head spinning, I cannot decide how to surf it. Off the tail and turn or feet forward and styling and cruising... feels awesome to surf it either way. Truly the quiver killer, and my new trusty companion for quick escapades, when I can't take any other boards. Actually, I haven't surfed any other board in 6 weeks. The Moby keeps calling me back. I think I took Rusty's story about the first Moby fish he made to heart and are unconsciously trying to replicate the vibe. I just put the Moby in the back of the truck and go to beach when I feel I want to surf, without worrying too much about specific conditions. Keep having a good time. Feels uncomplicated. Like surfing should feel.
I've owned a wide assortment of boards over a couple of decades of surfing, some custom made, a few right off the rack in the surf shop. I've been looking for a board that can provide a bit of glide to get in early but still perform well on the wave, the combination of float and performance. Rusty convinced me the Moby Fish was the board I needed. He built the board to deliver exactly what I wanted and, well, it's by far and away the best board I've ever owned. Every time out it just keeps getting better. Thank you to Rusty and the crew!
I was a little worried when Rusty recommended less volume than what I had in mind……turns out the guy knows what he’s doing : ) This board is so easy to paddle, fast, and gets into tiny garbage waves easier than my longboards. Fun and playful on those same sloppy, small windswell waves. I haven’t had it out in good conditions yet, but I anticipate good things. So far, it makes bad conditions 200% more fun, which is cool.
I bought 12 years ago a Moby Fish; changed dimension to 7´6 22.00 3.00 55 litres. And still now is the best surfboard I´ve ever bought. Now I´m 53 years old and I ve bought many other surfboards. But I still grab my old Moby Fish and have a blast
7’0 Moby Fish is my favorite board post hip replacement surgery. That thing planes so well. And it goes on rail. It proper rips - which I never expected from such a big fish. Even when I’m ready for shorter boards, I don't think I will switch. I've ridden it in double overhead Razors and 1 ft Scripps. It rips in both. Quiver Killer. Thanks again.
