Returns

RETURNS POLICY

In the event that the product you purchased online is defective and requires any form of warranty, you need to contact our Customer Service by phoning 858-578-0414 or email at Service@RustySurfboards.com. Our Customer Service team will then inform you how to return the product and give you a Return Authorization number. This warranty does not cover damage or malfunctions caused by normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, neglect, improper storage or handling, misuse, vandalism, acts of God, or other causes external to the product. If you are interested in returning apparel, please scroll to bottom of page.

Please note that a change in mind does not constitute an acceptable reason for return in our mind.

Colors on surfboards shipped to customers may vary from colors ordered by customers due to countless factors such as differences in color modes on image files, browsers, palettes, printer’s ink, etc. Such variances in colors do not constitute acceptable grounds for return.

You have 21 days from the receipt of the online shipment to return any defective item for credit or exchange, provided the merchandise is unused, in original condition, and is returned in the original shipping container .

SURFBOARD SHIPPING DAMAGES

In the event the product is received damaged, immediately email Service@RustySurfboards.com describing your damages. Please include pictures of the surfboard damage as well as the outside and inside packaging. Do not discard any of the shipping materials until we have resolved the claim. Do not use your surfboard if it arrives damaged.

SHIPPING INSURANCE CLAIMS

Rusty Surfboards is proud to partner with Route, the leader in package protection and tracking solutions. By selecting Route Protect at checkout, your order will be protected from loss, damage, or theft. In the unfortunate case that your order never arrives or is broken upon arrival, you can easily file a shipping issue with Route and receive a replacement or be reimbursed for the cost to fix the damages to the surfboard. We are excited to offer this service to you and we highly recommend you use Route package protection at checkout.

  • Shipping issues for packages marked "delivered" yet not received and where there is no evidence of “porch piracy” can be approved no earlier than 5 days after “delivery date” and no later than 15 days to ensure it was not misdelivered or easily found around the premises.
  • Photos required for damaged shipping issues
  • Shipping issues for packages presumed to be lost (where the status is not "delivered") can be after 7 days (20 days for international) and within 30 days from the last checkpoint.

If you purchased shipping insurance through ROUTE, please file a claim directly through them on their website, or by downloading the ROUTE app on your mobile device and filing the claim there. 


 Rusty US Apparel Returns:

For Returns….

If you are not satisfied with your Rusty Online purchase, simply return it to Rusty US within 30 days of purchase and we will issue you an exchange or full refund for the product, as long as it meets the following conditions.

  • The item has not been worn, marked, used or damaged
  • Includes all tags (including hygiene sticker for all swimwear) and packaging (unless faulty)

 

Any returns need to be approved by our customer service team, please email esales@us.rusty.com with your name, phone number, email address and a copy of your online order invoice. 

 

Once your return is received and inspected by the customer service team your refund will be processed and credited to the original method of payment within 30 days.

 

For Exchanges….

Please start a return and then place a new order as we do not provide an exchange service.


For Faulty Products...

Returns due to a faulty product will be accepted by Rusty within a reasonable time after purchase, after which we will make a full assessment of the product. We will judge all returns of faulty products on a case by case basis. To obtain a replacement or refund, you will need to provide evidence of the purchase and fault with photographs and/or receipts.
