SAN DIEGO, California - Last week at the TCT Blowfish Event put on by Volcom at Seaside Reef in Cardiff, California, Rusty Surfboards team riders came in full force and dominated the lineup. With a solid swell courtesy of our friend El Niño, groms from near and far came to Seaside Reef and were ripping.
Ella and Cole McCaffray showed up to the event and were both ripping at their home break of Seaside and Cole McCaffray ended up taking a 5th in the Squids division. Then we had Ms. Tiare Thompson absolutely dominate and win in the girls division against a stacked field of rising girl-shredders. Finally, we saw Rusty Surfboards Peru athlete Lucca Mesinas come to town and show all of Southern California what he’s made of. Lucca destroyed the lineup earning himself a perfect 10-point ride in the Pro-Am final, paving a clear path for a solid win out at Seaside.

With these wins, both Tiare and Lucca earned themselves a slot in the TCT Championships held at Lowers later this year. Congrats to all of our groms on an excellent day of surfing at Seaside.
