The Chupacabra is a high volume groveler with a pure Venturi channel with no spine (the stringer stays up high at the center) to create speed. The board has very low rocker with a very light concave running through the center to flat in between the fins ending onto a very light vee at the end of the tail. It has a very high and pronounced wing that breaks the outline flow creating a quick turning point. The tail is a generous round with planning surface, and yet tight turning arcs in the pocket. Thickness is concentrated on the chest area and it paddles very well and catches waves with ease. The Venturi and foam through the tail make this board extremely capable of connecting the flat spots, keeping the board always loaded with energy. The nose is not as wide as other grovelers, and the wide point considered “narrow”, the Chubacabra performs as a performance shortboard. It should be ridden at least 3” smaller than your short board. This model excels in small surf but is has been put to test in some decent surf with surprisingly good performance.

Love this board. Been using it in all kinds of conditions here in north SD. By far my best board for small waves but it works nice even up to a little over head. Use the H4 fcs large thruster fins for the most part on the chupa and they really compliment this beautiful board with tons of speed, flow, big hacks and turns that results in endless buckets out the back of the wave! I ride a 5'9 , 20.38, 2.39 and 34.89 liters. Im 6'0 - 185. Thanks Rusty and Pedro...cant wait to get more boards from you guys in the future!

Board is so fun. Use it on most smaller days, big high tide days, and up to head high. Gets into everything with ease. Sometimes use it as quad but mostly as a thruster with large H4 fins. Board generates speed in flat gutless sections and does really well in quality head high surf. Love throwing buckets on this thing! Im 6'0 and 185 and have a 5'9, 20.38, and 2.39 dims with 34.89 volume. Its pretty much perfect...thanks Rusty and Pedro.

So fun in small summer waves here in SD. So much volume it makes catching waves so easy I barely have to paddle. I'm 5'10 and I ride the 5'7 and honestly I probably would go down to 5'5 if I were to buy another. Its just so easy to whip around on small waves. Love this thing as a quad.
