This board was tricky to figure out, I started with stiff carbon fins and it felt a little sticky off the top and stiff coming out of turns. It came to life though when I put in more forgiving fins. Drives well off the bottom and releases off the lip. The two hang ups I still run into are that it feels like a much longer board underfoot I think due to the low tail rocker and stiff flex with all the carbon back there and with the heavy single concave it kind of feels floaty/skippy when taking off late in bigger surf, but that might be due to the EPS construction
Been loving this board. Has worked well for me in head high beach breaks and doing good in overhead points. Feels like a solid all arounder under my feet. Fits nicely in my quiver as that short-board when waves are chin high to head and a half so far.
Love this board. I have a 6'2" and I'm 6 feet tall, 165 pounds. Very positive feel off bottom and in pocket on solid waves. Loose, but not to the point of being squirrelly. A board you can lean into.
When this board was handed to me, I truly felt like I had purchased a freakin rocket ship. The tucked rails and sturdy carbon enforced tail showed me this thing was ready for take off. Been figuring out new maneuvers ever since. When this board finally breaks on a 10 foot day, I may just have to order the same one. Rusty, your a boss.
